The MindBody GLP-1 System offers natural GLP-1 support through two morning capsules and a powder containing prebiotics and probiotics. It is designed to support your body’s own GLP-1 production. Jenny Crane’s experience, my experience, and company-reported study results help explain the routine and what to consider before a three-month commitment.

GLP-1 medications get a lot of attention. But your body makes GLP-1, too, and there are things you can eat and do to support that production. The MindBody GLP-1 System puts several of those approaches into a simple daily routine.

I spoke with Jenny Crane, who shares LifeVantage products and was part of its early-access group for this system. She had already been using the company’s other activation products for years. I wanted to hear what she noticed, what using the system actually involved, and what she would tell someone considering it.

What natural GLP-1 support looks like

GLP-1 is a hormone your body naturally makes, largely in your gut. It helps with appetite and feeling satisfied after eating. It also slows how quickly food leaves your stomach and helps maintain blood sugar levels already within a normal, healthy range.

The MindBody GLP-1 System is designed to support your own production of that hormone. Jenny described it as “supporting the body to produce its own GLP-1 hormone.”

That is the activation idea: supporting processes your body already has. The system is a dietary supplement, not a replacement for prescription treatment. My article on Hashimoto’s and semaglutide addresses the medication discussion separately.

MindBody has two parts:

  • MB Core: Capsules designed to support the cells in your gut that produce GLP-1.
  • MB Enhance: A powder with prebiotic fiber, probiotics, and nutrients to support the gut environment involved in GLP-1 production.

The products are designed to be used together. You can find the company’s research materials on its MindBody science page.

Two capsules in the morning and a powder later

The daily routine is simple. Take two MB Core capsules with a full glass of water, 30 minutes before your first meal.

I keep mine on my bedside table. Jenny does, too. It makes remembering easier because taking them is already part of getting up.

“Let’s make life easy and not have to rely on our memory. Just work it into the routine.” That was my response when we talked about where we keep them.

For MB Enhance, the company recommends starting with two scoops daily for the first seven days. Then increase to the full serving of four slightly rounded scoops. The gradual start gives you time to adjust to the added fiber.

You can mix the powder into a protein shake, smoothie, or another low-sugar beverage. For best results, take the four scoops together. Jenny likes hers in a protein shake. I like the flavor enough that I miss it when I run out.

If you take thyroid medication, ask your prescribing clinician or pharmacist how to fit the products around it. The product directions say to consult your physician before use if you take medication or have a medical condition.

What Jenny and I noticed

Jenny was already eating fairly well when she started. Her husband is a chef, and she described trying to take care of herself while noticing changes in her weight in her early forties.

For her first few weeks on MindBody, she intentionally kept her usual routine. She wanted to see what she noticed without changing everything at once. She reported losing seven pounds within two to three weeks, along with improvements in her digestion, energy, and mental clarity.

That is her personal experience, not a promise of what you will notice or how quickly you will lose weight.

My experience surprised me in a different way. Before I started, I could ignore my hunger cues. After starting MindBody, I became more aware of when I was hungry.

And I was not cool with it. What is this? Feeling hungry?

I had been used to pushing past those signals. Paying attention to them was an adjustment.

While my mind and body started communicating better about genuine hunger, something else happened. I stopped caring that there were sweets in the house. For example, after Halloween, I didn’t even care that there were small butterfingers on the table. Normally, those little candy bars would be in the back (or front!) of my mind all day.

I did lose weight over the six months I described to Jenny, but weight loss was not my main reason for starting.

Jenny also shared the experience of a friend who had struggled with wanting sugar and ice cream at bedtime. Her friend told her she felt more able to say no and walk away from the refrigerator. She felt like she had better will power. She was also changing what she ate, including choosing protein instead of sweets.

Those everyday experiences matter. So does keeping them separate from what a study measured.

What the MindBody GLP-1 study reported

LifeVantage sponsored a 12-week human study conducted by Lighthouse Research. Its report describes 60 participants assigned to three groups. One received no products or education. The other two received the MindBody system and a commercial protein powder. One of those product groups also received information about diet, exercise, and calories.

The company reported an average 140% increase in fasting GLP-1 levels in the product groups at 12 weeks. It also reported average weight loss of nine pounds at eight weeks and 11 pounds at 12 weeks. The highest reported loss was 25 pounds.

Participants answered questions about their relationship with food. The reported questionnaire results included:

  • 95% reported decreased sugar cravings.
  • 96% reported choosing smaller portions.
  • 82% reported more control over their relationship with food.

These are findings from that study, not guaranteed outcomes. Both product groups also received protein powder, and the report does not establish these results specifically for women with Hashimoto’s.

Study context: “Up to” figures are the highest reported changes, not averages. The report’s muscle finding was that participants who lost weight maintained or increased their skeletal muscle percentage.

Results may vary. LifeVantage’s materials state that typical weight loss using this product in a 12-week weight-management program is 1–2 pounds per week, with a healthy diet and regular exercise. Consult with a healthcare provider before starting a weight-loss program.

Why Protandim Nrf2 is part of the Healthy Weight Stack

Jenny and I also talked about cellular health. As a nurse and holistic health educator, I care about what helps your body function, including the processes happening inside your cells.

Protandim Nrf2 is an activator that supports your body’s antioxidant response. I often describe that as turning on your antioxidant factories. Jenny considers it a foundational part of her routine.

“The body is the miracle,” she said.

LifeVantage sells Protandim Nrf2 and the MindBody GLP-1 System together as the Healthy Weight Stack. MindBody provides natural GLP-1 support, while Protandim Nrf2 supports the cellular antioxidant response.

In its explanation of the combination, LifeVantage reports activation of nine additional fat and fatty-acid metabolism pathways and four additional antioxidant pathways. It also reports activation of 22 genes involved in processes related to organ aging.

The company’s explanation connects support for fatty-acid metabolism and defenses against oxidative stress with the work of the cells that produce GLP-1. That is why the combination fits the activation approach Jenny and I discussed: supporting your body’s own processes.

What to expect when you start

Jenny’s early results were quick. That does not mean yours will be.

“Go into it minimum three months,” she said in our first conversation. When we spoke again, she still emphasized giving it time, often suggesting three to six months rather than judging everything by an early weigh-in.

The company’s guidance also recommends at least three months of consistent use. Its expectation guide acknowledges that some people may experience digestive discomfort, headaches, or weight fluctuations when starting.

That is one reason for starting MB Enhance (the fiber and probiotic powder) with just one scoop and gradually increasing it to the recommended four heaping scoops. (The scoop size is very small.) If you develop symptoms or have concerns, discuss them with your healthcare provider rather than assuming they mean the product is working.

Pay attention to more than weight. Jenny talked about cravings, energy, and sleep. I noticed my hunger cues. You may notice changes in some areas and not others.

The product information says the system is not recommended for anyone under 18 or for people who are pregnant or nursing. Use the products as directed and discuss your medical conditions and medications with your provider before starting.

Small habits still matter

Jenny was clear that taking the products does not remove the need to care for yourself.

Movement, food, and stress still matter. She encouraged making small changes alongside the system and being patient with the process.

Protein was one of her examples. She personally aims for roughly 100 grams a day and finds a morning protein shake convenient. That was her routine, not an individualized target for everyone reading this.

She also keeps protein-containing snacks available and makes strength training part of her life. I admitted that I struggle with the strength-training part.

“A little bit at a time,” Jenny said.

You do not have to go from doing very little to going to the gym every day. Jenny emphasized consistency over starting so aggressively that you get overwhelmed and stop.

If you want help building those everyday habits, the Simple Habits Program offers lifestyle support. The products can fit into your routine while you work on those small changes.

Questions about the MindBody GLP-1 System

Give yourself at least three months

If you want a simple way to put natural GLP-1 support into your day, I recommend trying the Healthy Weight Stack with Protandim Nrf2 and the MindBody GLP-1 System for at least three months. Give yourself time, keep making small changes, and pay attention to how you feel as well as what the scale says.
